Weekly Update!

After a rather emotional week, full of ups, downs, and a free candy bar, I had to go and weigh in.

Normally when I weigh in, I'm in scrubs on my way to work; today I'm wearing jeans. I slept at my parents house last night and I was not going to be home before the weigh in, so I stole a pair of my mom's pj pants. I changed in the bathroom at WW and the ladies and I had a really good laugh and me, in a hot pink shirt with lavender pants with purple and navy stripes!  I said "I'm not stepping on that scale and have my pants throw off my weight!"

So here they are, your weekly numbers and my small victories:

1. June 16, 2010 - start week 3
2. 1.8 pounds lost this week
3. 5.2 pounds lost total!
4. Current weight:  185.6
*added bonus this week: I fit into a size M tee shirt!

Who knew that actually dealing with your emotions instead of climbing into the fridge, actually works?!

  1. Great Job! Keep up the good work! I know it can be hard at times, especially if you allow yourself the insanity of weighing every day (I was so neurotic about it when I was losing weight, that I weighed everyday...trust me it doesn't help...I still do it today every morning to make sure I don't "fall off the wagon")

Due to you and one of my other friends losing some weight I've decided that NOW is the time to start my push to 200. I started at 215 and these 15lbs are going to be difficult to lose I think. I'm utilizing a few apps on my iPhone to help out though. I'm using a really nice free calorie counting program (instead of weight watchers which i've used before, I REALLY like weight watchers, but I didn't use it when I lost my last 50lbs...but it's awesome and I really recommend it), and I just downloaded a "Couch to 5k" App. I can't always make it to the gym but I can at LEAST run around my neighborhood and this is a good distance for me to work towards. I run 3miles for a work out, so a 5k is just a bit further, but, I want to train the way that professionals recommend, and I'd really like to be able to have a good showing at a 5k :) .

Sorry to talk about what I've got going on, I just find that if you can identify with someone and talk about your goals and what you're trying to do it can really help motivate. And that's what you've helped do to me. So thank you, and keep it up!!!

  2. I've been thinking about the Couch to 5k program too! We should sign up for a 5k together!

Never say you're sorry about talking, I really like to hear what others are doing too! It really helps me make sure that I don't eat that 3rd slice of pizza!

You can get these last 15 off! I know you can! We are going to look FANTASTIC at SD's 40th!!

I'm really glad I'm motivating you, that's why I did this. I'm not the only one who needs some encouragement and motivation, and this is a topic that people don't like to talk about openly.

By the way, you posting your pics on FB is really what gave me the courage to tell the world my story. Love ya bro! :)
